This report looks at consumer perceptions of captioning quality.
It examines deaf or hard-of-hearing Australians’ use of captioning, perceptions and expectations of the quality of captioning, and satisfaction with captioning quality on live and pre-recorded (closed) broadcast TV and non-broadcast content (such as paid streaming services).
The research was undertaken as part of our evidence-gathering for the Captioning Quality Standard review.
