When to notify the ACMA
Carriers must:
- give an anticipatory notice to the ACMA within 20 business days of signing the contract with a developer to install telco network infrastructure in a real estate development or a building redevelopment project area.
- declare that the area is now a ‘provisional nominated service area’ within 10 business days of completing the network installation and give a copy of the declaration to the ACMA within 10 business days of making it.
CSPs must:
- give an anticipatory notice to the ACMA within 20 business days of signing the contract with a developer or beginning to install a facility for the supply of services to premises in a real estate development or a building redevelopment project area.
- declare that the area is now a ‘provisional nominated services area’ within 20 business days of starting to use the facility to supply services and give a copy of the declaration to the ACMA.

Applying to vary a notice or declaration
SIPs can apply to the ACMA to vary their anticipatory notices and declarations if there are corrections or updates that need to be made.
