MF, HF and VHF Maritime Mobile Bands

Refer to the Australian Radiofrequency Spectrum Plan for designated maritime mobile bands.

For frequencies, channelling arrangements and other provisions relating to coast station operation in the MF, HF and VHF maritime mobile bands refer to Appendix 15, 17, 18 and 25 of the ITU Radio Regulations.

Maritime coast licence

Intra-service coordination

• For the assignment of frequencies to the VHF international maritime mobile service, refer to the coordination criteria in RALI LM8 - Frequency Assignment Requirements for the Land Mobile Service. Both frequency-distance and intermodulation checks should be performed.

Inter-service coordination
