Investigations into telco providers

We gather information from stakeholders, conduct audits and investigate ongoing issues.

About our investigations

Our activities include:

  • consulting with groups representing the interests of consumers
  • analysing TIO and industry complaints data
  • providing information to assist industry with compliance
  • undertaking compliance assessments, including audits
  • investigating serious, ongoing issues
  • taking action where warranted

This action may be a formal warning. This tells the provider that we expect them to address one or more issues. It also warns them we will take stronger action if they do not act or if the issue happens again.

Each quarter, we also publish a summary of action we have taken on telco consumer protections.
