We received 3 public submissions to the consultation. These are available at the bottom of the page.

You can read about the consultation results in the outcomes paper found in the key documents section.
In light of the above, we have decided to make the Radiocommunications (Trading Rules for Spectrum Licences) Determination 2023.
Previous consultation: The issue
The Radiocommunications (Trading Rules for Spectrum Licences) Determination 2012 (the determination) sets out rules for the trading of spectrum licences. This includes:
- the minimum contiguous bandwidth that must be preserved when trading a spectrum licence
- the kind of information that must be provided to us when trading a spectrum licence.
The determination is due to expire in April 2023. We would like to remake it.
While the new determination will be similar to the current one, we want to make changes to bring it into line with similar instruments and simplify it. You can read more about our proposed changes in the consultation paper.
