Outcome

On 16 June 2022, we made the Variation to Licence Area Plan – Deniliquin Radio – 2022 (No. 1). This involves variations to Echuca, Cobram, Moama and Deniliquin radio broadcasting services in the Deniliquin RA1 licence area.

Previous consultation: The issue

We want to vary the Deniliquin Radio licence area plan (LAP). This will involve:

  • making spectrum available for a new 2QN commercial radio service to serve the Echuca and Moama areas
  • making spectrum available for a new 2QN commercial radio service to serve the Cobram area
  • making spectrum available for a temporary 2MOR commercial radio service to serve Echuca and Moama, operating on 92.5 MHz, available until the permanent service operating on 103.9 MHz starts
  • making spectrum available for a new 2MOR commercial radio service to serve Echuca and Moama, operating on 103.9 MHz, which will start when 92.5 MHz stops operating
  • removing a technical specification for a high-power open narrowcasting (HPON) service that was planned to serve the Moama area.

We welcome your views on the issues raised in the consultation paper, or any other issues relevant to the Deniliquin Radio LAP.
