On 10 October 2018, the ACMA received a complaint that the licensee of 4SFM, Sunshine FM Radio Association Incorporated, was exceeding the five minutes per hour permitted for sponsorship announcements. The complaint raised concerns that between 10.00 am and 11.00 am on 25 September 2018, and between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm on 28 September 2018, sponsorship announcements, including paid interview spots, exceeded the limit of five minutes per hour.
