Telco consumer credit checks: Findings of shadow shopping study

The TCP Code contains consumer protection rules that telcos must follow. These include new credit assessment rules aimed at protecting customers from financially overcommitting themselves.

We commissioned a shadow shopping research study to test whether telcos have changed the way they are interacting with their customers as a result of the new rules.

Our report provides the results of the shadow shopping research study, as well as information obtained from the three biggest telcos.
