Outcome

We received 4 submissions to this consultation, which are published at the bottom of this page.

We will proceed with the updates to RALI FX23 as consulted, with some additional clarifications to Table 3 and Annex D to address issues identified in submissions.

The outcomes paper in the ‘Key documents’ box contains full details. The updated RALI can also be accessed there and at RALIs to coordinate frequency and  Frequency coordination and licensing procedures for point to multipoint services in the 5.6 GHz band.

Original consultation: The issue

In December 2018, we released RALI FX23. It details the frequency coordination and licensing procedures for point-to-multipoint (PMP) services in the 5.6 GHz band (5600–5650 MHz).

RALI FX23 has been earmarked for review under the Draft frequency coordination requirements review work program for 2023–24.

We intend to make updates to Annex D of RALI FX23. This contains the locations and parameter values for potential new sites for future weather radars.

We also propose to remove the interim arrangements in section 3.2bis of RALI FX23 that support the migration of 3.6 GHz band PMP licences to the 5.6 GHz band. There are also a series of proposed editorial updates to RALI FX23 to help improve readability and accuracy.
