In March 2019, the ACMA commenced an investigation under the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 into the broadcast of two advertisements – one for Austin Curtin, NSW Nationals Party candidate for the seat of Lismore in the 2019 NSW state election; and one for Ben Franklin, NSW Nationals Party candidate for the seat of Ballina in the 2019 NSW state election.
