On 9 March 2018, the ACMA commenced an investigation under section 170 of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 into Midwest Radio Network Pty Ltd’s compliance with the licence conditions set out in paragraph 8(2)(c) of Schedule 2 to the BSA. The investigation relates to the licensee’s service and focusses on the question of whether the licence condition has been contravened as a result of a failure to comply with local news and information requirements imposed under sections 61CD and 61CP of the BSA.
