The ACMA released the discussion paper Proposed regulatory measures for the introduction of cooperative intelligent transport systems in Australia on 5 August 2016. The paper sought industry feedback on the ACMA’s proposal to issue a new class licence under section 132 of the Radiocommunications Act 1992, for cooperative intelligent transport systems (C‑ITS) transceivers in vehicles, in roadside infrastructure and carried by people.
