The Regulator Performance Framework (RPF) 2014 is a government initiative that aims to encourage regulators like the ACMA to be more effective and efficient.
Under the framework, each year we assess our performance against 6 key performance indicators. We also ask our stakeholders for feedback.
Our sixth and final RPF performance assessment report covering 2020–21 is now available. It shows how we met our key indicators and areas we aim to develop and improve on as a regulator.
The Regulator Performance Guide replaced the Regulatory Performance Framework from 1 July 2021.
Under the RPG, regulators are no longer required to produce a standalone performance report. Performance reporting will be streamlined with performance planning and reporting prepared under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule).
We have adopted the new regulator principles into our performance planning and reporting framework and incorporated them into our Corporate plan 2021–22. We will report against these principles in our 2021–22 annual report.
