Education and awareness

We started an awareness campaign as part of our work to disrupt illegal offshore gambling.

This had 2 main goals:

  • to show people the risks of using illegal offshore gambling sites and the lack of protection they have
  • to inform Australians who might use offshore gambling sites that they are illegal.

We directed people to an information pack on the ACMA website, including details on online gambling services, legal operators and the risks of using illegal gambling providers.
