Registration
The ACMA does not manage registrations or renewals. We have authorised 4 registrars to manage cabling registrations on our behalf. They also manage applications for recognition of prior learning (RPL).
Registering for the first time?
- You can contact any registrar; you do not have to choose a registrar in your state or territory.
- Each registrar charges different fees and offers different services, so decide which one is best for you.
- Registrars will ask for evidence that you have completed appropriate training and have the required skills (competencies) to be registered.

BICSI Registered Cablers Australia (BRCA)
BICSI Registered Cablers Australia (BRCA) has terminated its Deed to provide cabling registration services and is no longer accepting new registrations or renewing existing registrations. Cabling providers who are currently registered by BRCA continue to be validly registered until the expiry date of their current registration, after which they will be required to register with another registrar if they wish to continue performing cabling work.
BRCA registered cablers may also choose to register with a new registrar before their registration by BRCA expires.
Fees may apply on a cost recovery basis for any services provided, including for new or renewed registration or if a new registration card is required.
