Long-term community radio broadcasting licence allocations

In October 2018, the ACMA advertised for applications for long-term community radio broadcasting licences in four licence areas—Gold Coast RA1, Maclean RA1, Mareeba RA1 and Perth RA1.

During 2019 we decided to allocate three licences:

  • Maclean RA1: We allocated a licence to Lower Clarence Community Radio Inc (2TLC) serving the general community interest in the licence area.
  • Mareeba RA1: We allocated a licence to Tableland Christian Radio Association Inc (4TVR) serving the religious Christian community interest in the licence area.
  • Perth RA1: We allocated a licence to Vision Australia Limited (6RPH) serving the radio and print handicapped community interest in the licence area.
  • Gold Coast RA1: We decided not to allocate a long-term licence.
