We have found Channel Seven Sydney Pty Ltd in breach of captioning rules. Three segments of Highway Patrol, shown on 16 September 2019, were not captioned.
Channel Seven Sydney Pty Ltd:
- breached subsection 130ZR(1) of Part 9D of the BSA [captioning programs between 6 am and midnight on free-to-air primary television channels]
- breached paragraph 7(1)(o) of Schedule 2 to the BSA [licence condition to comply with Part 9D]
Channel Seven Sydney Pty said it has had technical problems since moving to its new National Playout Centre in August.
We have asked Channel Seven Sydney Pty Ltd for captioning compliance reports for December 2019, and January and February 2020.
