Help influence how the ACMA considers telco consumer issues

We’re seeking expressions of interest from consumer organisations to represent the needs of Australian telco consumers in the ACMA’s Consumer Consultative Forum (CCF).

We’re looking for organisations that: 

  • can identify and prioritise issues affecting Australian phone and internet consumers, including First Nations Australians and people who may be experiencing vulnerability
  • can actively represent consumers’ views through the CCF
  • have an interest in regulatory processes. 

In this rapidly evolving regulatory environment, the CCF is a valuable opportunity for members to:

  • help us understand and respond to current issues that affect how consumers use phone and internet services 
  • assist us to engage with telco consumers and understand their diverse experiences
  • work with us to contribute to effective regulatory policy and practice.

How to apply

Please provide a maximum one-page expression of interest, describing how your organisation meets the selection criteria below. Please email the expression of interest to ccf@acma.gov.au by COB (AEST), Tuesday 20 August 2024.

Selection criteria

  • Expertise and experience in representing Australian consumers and their interests, including First Nations Australians and people who may be experiencing vulnerability.
  • The ability to identify and prioritise issues affecting Australian consumers of phone and internet services.
  • The capacity to actively represent views through the ACMA’s CCF. 
  • Experience in to providing information, evidence and advice about regulatory issues to Australian consumers.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, regulatory processes.

Please include the types of consumers your organisation serves and the geographic location of your services. 

Consumer organisations and their representatives must declare any potential conflicts of interest for matters within the scope of the CCF in their application.
