Proposal to make VAST available in Mildura/Sunraysia TV1 licence area

We received 3 submissions to this consultation. Two submissions supported the proposal and none opposed it. We thank the submitters for their time.

Following consideration of the submissions, on 3 April 2025, we made the Broadcasting Services (Service-Deficient Area – Mildura/Sunraysia) Declaration 2025.

Currently, viewers in Mildura/Sunraysia are not able to view the Network Ten television services terrestrially.

If we declare that Mildura/Sunraysia TV1 is 'service-deficient', viewers in this area are entitled to access Network Ten services through VAST.

Viewers who choose to seek VAST access will need to pay for the purchase of satellite reception equipment and its installation.
