Following a comprehensive procurement process, the ACMA has engaged Spectrum Center Inc. to deliver a new spectrum management system for the agency.
The ACMA looks forward to partnering with Spectrum Center Inc. after signing a 6-year contract that will see it design, build, implement and provide ongoing support for the system.
The new system will facilitate the management of radiocommunications and broadcasting licensing in Australia, providing a modern, user-friendly experience for those applying for or renewing spectrum licences, as well as delivering improved data quality and better process automation.
In the 2022–23 financial year the ACMA issued over 16,500 new licences and renewed more than 150,000 existing licences.
The new system is expected to go live by the end of 2025. In the interim, the current Spectra system will remain in place.
