ACMA statement on Telstra Triple Zero outage

The ACMA is aware of an incident that impacted Telstra’s ability to transfer Triple Zero calls to police, fire or ambulance services this morning. The Telecommunications (Emergency Call Service) Determination 2019 requires Telstra, as Emergency Call Person, to transfer Triple Zero calls to emergency service organisations. The ACMA is undertaking preliminary assessment of the issue.
