Other information

The ACMA has contracted the Wireless Institute of Australia (WIA) to issue amateur certificates of proficiency for Advanced, Standard and Amateur licences, manage callsigns and undertake amateur examinations.

Assigned frequencies will normally accord with the channel arrangements developed by the Wireless Institute of Australia (WIA) for repeater or beacon use.  All applications for repeater and beacon services are also expected to be endorsed by the WIA.
