| Broadcasting Registers |
The following is a description of the Broadcasting Registers: Register of Controlled Media GroupsA register maintained under Section 61AU of the BSA. The register lists registered media groups, media operations that form part of those groups, and the controllers of those media operations. Additional information on conditional transactions is available. Register of Notices and Approvals under Part 5 of the BSAA list of approvals and notices given under Part 5 of the BSA. The register incorporates: all temporary approvals given under section 67 of the BSA, where the transaction has occurred; extensions granted under section 68 of the BSA; notices issued under section 70 of the BSA and extension granted under section 71 of the BSA. This register is maintained by the ACMA in accordance with the requirements of section 75 of the BSA. Current Controllers ReportA list of the current controllers of commercial radio and television broadcasting licences and the current controllers of newspapers associated with the licence areas of these licences. This Report is maintained by the ACMA in accordance with the requirements of section 75 of the BSA. Recent Control NotificationsA report of the change of control notifications (form ACMA B2/B3) received in the last six months. These notifications are provided by licensees, publishers and persons pursuant to sections 63 and 64 of the BSA. The Current Controllers Report is a reflection of all such notifications. Register of Associated NewspapersA list of newspapers that are ‘associated’ with commercial radio or commercial television broadcasting licence areas. This Register is maintained by the ACMA in accordance with the requirements of section 59 of the BSA. Further information on the register is available. |
